Mission and Vision

My Mission

I seek to make the world a better place with my artwork. Hopefully, we cross paths in the real world someday, and we can make it a better place together.  I want my artwork to make people happy and provide emotional support. I started my art gallery Rossi Kelton Fine Art Gallery, to connect and help other creators tell their stories. I am pursuing a Master in Fine Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design and creating oil and acrylic paintings to donate a percentage of their sale to Cancer research.

My Story: Craftmanship, Original

My name is Rossana 'Rossi' Kelton, and my story is about craftmanship. I was born in South America and immigrated to the United States in 1972. I started taking an interest in art when I was a child. I was the only child in my family who was interested in art at that time. My parents loved art but were not artistic. My uncles on my mother's side did doodling and caricatures but did not become artists. I am disabled in that I only have vision in my left eye. It does not keep me from creating pleasing art for the viewer. I currently live and work in the greater Atlanta area.

I paint abstracts in oil and acrylic because I love the range of colors and the paints' flexibility. I prefer to paint in oil because the paint is vibrant and permanent. I began painting abstract geometric works, but I took a detour to landscapes in the impressionist style for a short time. Currently, I am excited to have returned to painting in an abstract geometric, optical art style. I have a Master in Business Administration and began the graduate Master of Fine Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design. I have the drive to create art because it is the only activity I enjoy doing. I am an artistic innovator that wants to join the conversation.

My aesthetic philosophy is that beauty is subjective. It means that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I do the work I do because I love it. I like the industry. I like the people I meet. I want to talk shop. I embrace the artist. I like to make the world a better place with my artwork. Hopefully, we cross paths in the real world someday, and we can make it a better place together.
