As part of my oeuvre, I confided in friends that traveled to the areas of New Britain, New Guinea, and Mindanao. My inspiration was the rainbow Eucalyptus trees known as Eucalyptus deglupta, found in Mindanao or Ceram. I was inspired by the variety of colors in these trees' stringybark that resemble the rainbow's colors. Blues, reds, yellows, orange, violets, and greens of their bark inspired me to paint these beautiful trees. I used the impasto technique of adding enormous amounts of oil painting material to create the trees' shape. I also used a Dick Blick Premier Cotton Canvas and Windsor and Newton, Utretch, and Senelier handmade oil colors. I only ship artwork stretched right now. Delivery includes packaging materials to protect the work.
